The league season kicked off this week and saw the Academy men’s team take to the court for the first time having moved up to division 4A. Not only were they playing in a new division, they were also playing under a new captain. Al picked a strong team to take on Frampton Cotterell and was duly rewarded with a comprehensive 6-0 victory.
Having only narrowly won division 4B last year, taking it in their final match by a single point, the team are well aware that every point counts. With that in mind, and despite being pushed into deciders in a couple of their games, they saw off Frampton’s challenge to register maximum points.
Let’s hope the girls can be similarly convincing tonight…
