WELCOME TO ACADEMY BADMINTON CLUB

Academy Badminton Club is a well-established badminton club based in South Bristol, ideal for intermediate-level players looking for enjoyable yet competitive play. We meet once a week on Wednesday evenings, attracting players from across Bristol who seek a sociable atmosphere and engaging matches.

We enter men’s, women’s, and mixed teams into Bristol leagues, offering plenty of opportunities for members keen to test their skills. While our club nights are welcoming and friendly, they are best suited to players with some experience rather than beginners to this sport.

Throughout the year, we host social events to encourage club spirit and help our members connect beyond the court. If you’re looking for an friendly and exciting badminton experience with a competitive edge, Academy Badminton Club is the place for you.

Club nights are on Wednesday from 7-10pm

We currently have a max. of 36 members playing across 4 courts.

Unfortunately not, all members must be 18 or over.

Our members are mostly intermediate-level players, alongside some experienced league competitors. While we don’t cater for complete beginners, we’re a great fit if you’re looking for enjoyable, competitive games in a friendly environment.

We generally play doubles (unless numbers are low and courts are available for singles) with a pegs system allowing members to pick games and partners to suit.

We only play with feather shuttles. These are provided as part of your membership.

Yes. Shuttles are provided but everyone must have their own racket.

Membership is currently closed, and we do not have any visitor sessions for new members at this time.

If you are interested in joining the club, please use the contact form and fill in your details, and we can add you to the waiting list to be notified when visitor sessions open up again in the future.

Please do not turn up to a club night without confirmation as we do not have spaces for visitors.
