If you’re looking for regular badminton in a friendly yet competitive setting, Academy Badminton Club could be the perfect fit.
We meet every Wednesday evening from 7–10pm across 4 courts, offering a variety of engaging and challenging games that will help sharpen your skills and enhance your match play.
For those keen to compete more formally, we regularly enter men’s, women’s, mixed, and singles teams into the Bristol leagues, providing plenty of opportunities to test yourself against other clubs.
Joining the club
Interested in joining? Come along for some taster sessions to get to know the other members of the club, meet the committee, and try out some games with us.
We are now open for visitors, and will be hosting taster sessions for prospective members.
Here’s how it works:
- Book in for up to 5 taster sessions 📆
- Come along and play some great games with us all 😎
- Get to know our committee and all the players at the club 🫱🏻🫲🏼
- After your 5 taster sessions, the committee will make a decision on inviting you to join the club 🤔
- If invited, join us every week, hone your skills, and try out for our league teams! 🏸
Booking your taster sessions
Taster sessions must be booked in advance for £10 each.
Use the form at the link below to select and book in up to 5 taster sessions. The committee will then make a decision on inviting new members to sign up and join the club.
We’re looking for more than just ability: as a competitive community club, your passion for badminton and friendliness on and off court is equally as important. We’re looking for players who love to have fun and support each other on their badminton journeys!
Places are limited, so advanced booking is advised.
Please don’t turn up without getting in touch or making a booking beforehand as we cannot guarantee you’ll be able to play.
Membership costs
Full club membership is £130 for six months. If you play every week this works out at just over £5 a session and includes feather shuttles. Good value if we do say so ourselves!
